Be Passionate.
I don’t know whether it was too much egg nog or the hours of Christmas music, but I came back to work on Monday feeling inspired. Sure, being around family and friends during the holidays can sometimes be a chore. This year was different for me, though.
The smiles on the faces of my family were envigorating. We all have a ton of great things going on. For instance, my in-laws are working on a project that, in my opinion, will be great for our area. When I hear them talk about this project, it gets me excited.
It got me thinking about my blog and the two words that I try to use to kick start my day: BE PASSIONATE. We all are (hopefully) passionate about the things we do. It may be your job, your blog, or your studies. But, what do you have if you aren’t passionate those things? To me, life becomes bland when passion isn’t involved.
You probably have met or know someone that just coasts. They work in a job that is comfortable, but they really don’t care too much about it. Do you think that sounds good? Would you rather just be in the status quo or part of something that is truly magical?
Take a moment and think of the things that get the passion going inside of you. Maybe it is your blog. Perhaps a class at school really gets your juices flowing. For me, it is my family and my job. I love waking up and hearing my children’s laughter. At work, I get excited knowing that I am helping someone in some way and I love brainstorming on ideas with clients.
Don’t rob yourself of enjoying the life we’ve been given. Your passion will not only rub off on others, it will continue to fuel what is inside of you. So take a moment before your start your day and say these two words to yourself…
BE PASSIONATE.
