Follow Friday: Matt LaCasse

If there is one person that can say something funny one minute and the next something inspiring, it’s Matt LaCasse. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Matt over the last year, through #SportsPRChat, #journchat, and #u30pro.

Matt said this during #u30pro on Oct. 28 and I think it’s a great example of his wisdom.

Don’t make a promise to follow-up if you have no intention of doing so. It’s just rude.

Sure, it may seem like common sense. But one of the things I’ve gleaned from Matt over the last year is that he’s always someone who things about the big picture.  He’s also very generous and willing to lend a hand.

So why is he a must follow? Matt works in marketing for the Boys and Girls Club of West Central Missouri, where he is a great example for young people.  He is also the creator/co-moderator of the popular #cookchat with Samantha Ogborn.

Matt’s blog is called “Public Relations and Other Ruminations” and you should follow him on Twitter @MattLaCasse.

About JasMollica

"It's never too late to have a life and it's never too late to change one." That's something I tell students, friends, and family all the time. After living and working in New York City, I took my own advice in 2004, switched my career from the television/radio industry and got into public relations. Now, I spend my days as a PR/social media marketing consultant and get inspired daily. It's been a good ride, so far. But the car has plenty of gas left. I hope you'll join along in this guy's journey!

  1. The world definitely needs more people who follow through when they say they will (or at least don’t commit if they aren’t prepared to follow through).

  2. Very kind of you Jason. Thanks!
